Tensions are rising and Judas makes his move, the ultimate betrayal.

Transcript:

Another day in the temple, surrounded by both lovers and haters.

Each night, Jesus retreats to Bethany, to the quiet and shalom of His friends’ home.

He feels what’s coming.

He’s got . . .

-Pressure from the religious leaders.

-Pressure from His disciples.

-Pressure from His mother.

-Pressure from the Romans.

And the weight of all humanity’s sin is beginning to crush Him.

And in the midst of that, Jerusalem is buzzing—it’s buzzing with Passover anticipation and with the tension of Jesus no longer holding back.

Meanwhile, Judas makes his move.

I can picture him slipping through the stone streets, looking over his shoulder.

Am I being followed?

Does Jesus know?

Am I making the right decision?

Then, he finds the chief priests.

He makes the deal.

He sells Jesus for 30 pieces of silver.

That evening, he walks back to Bethany—right through the Garden of Gethsemane.

Is that when he finalized his plan? … in the very place where Jesus would soon be arrested?

The storm is about to break.
